Miami Rush Girls New College Admissions Program (CAP) Director, Leon Florez

Coach Leon Florez is entering his 1st year as the CAP Director at Miami Rush.

Coach Florez has 20 years of coaching experience in the state of Florida. Coach Florez is consistent and has concentrated on only 2 clubs in his career. Miami Premier Soccer club from 2001-2008 and Florida Rush Soccer Club from 2008-present. He is also into his 12th year as the East Ridge High School Girls Varsity coach in Clermont, FL.

Involved in Florida ODP since 2007, Florida Youth Soccer Association Staff Head coach since 2012. He won a National Championship with 1996 Florida ODP boys team. Has worked with many players in the state of Florida with the Florida ODP Program.

Currently working with Florida Rush 2006 and 2007 SCA Girls teams and has also served as the College Advisory Program (CAP) Director at Florida Rush. Leon has helped over 200 players with their recruiting process and assisting them get into schools with both athletic and academic scholarships, Schools include D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and Junior Colleges.

Has worked several college camps throughout his career including University of Miami, Duke University, Florida Gulf Coast, USF, and Lundy Camp at USC upstate in South Carolina.

Florez, currently working as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for NAIA Thomas University in Thomasville, GA.  He is a United States Soccer Federation National C license coach.
